What is Anal Fistula (Fistula in Ano / Bhagandar / भगन्दर)
- Anal Fistula is a small channel/Tract that develops between the end of the bowel (lower part of Rectum or Anal canal) and the skin around the anus.
- Fistula has a tract with two openings - Internal opening into the rectum or anal canal and external opening through the skin of the buttocks.
- It is usually the result of a previous or current anal abscess.
